Remember Pedro Silva who came to the last networking event? Well here he is with his co-founder Petar Djekic and today they have got something exciting to celebrate: the launch of their app Faer. You can use it to find the fashion you want in fair fashion!
How it works? You just talk to your phone the way you would your best friend, say what you want (see photo) and fast as lightening can be you've got it! Right there: aesthetically displayed photos of hand picked fair fashion.

Why these two techies decided to create an app for fair fashion and not just any kind of fashion?
"We have a technology background and got into fashion by working with retailers all around the globe. This made us understand how fashion is manufactured and distributed today, which was quite disillusioning. That's why it was clear to us, having the choice, that we want to promote fashion which adds value. It is so important to make sustainable and good-quality fashion accessible to as many people as possible and technology can play a key role in bringing us closer to that goal. Besides, creating your personal guilt-free shopping experience for fashion is a hell lot of fun too."
How do you select the brands for your app? What is a no-go for a brand which would like to be featured on faer?
"Apart from a brand's collection itself, transparency on sourcing and manufacturing is an important selection criteria. Is production happening locally? What fabrics are being used? Is the brand certified in any way? How readily available is such information? All those things are taken into consideration, and certainly including a brand known for poor working conditions or without any public information about sourcing or manufacturing wouldn't be an option. We are very excited about the possibilities to create more transparency with the help of technology in this area."
Which brands are your personal favorites?
"A Kind of Guise from Munich and Med Winds from Barcelona are definitely on top of the list! But there really are so many great brands from all around the world."
