Then DAWN Denim is looking for you! Imagine this: tons of clothing go directly from production to landfills because they have very minor flaws. Sounds terrible? It’s reality. Tiny rips and deviation in color are the reason why many pieces of clothing will already be taken out of the production process before they leave the factory.
Together with you DAWN wants to realize a different way of take on this issue – a way that creates less waste and does not deviate the clothing market in struggling countries. For this DAWN created the Art on Broken Pieces project, and invites you to collaborate!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Jeans with tiny defects will be turned into unique pieces of art by creatives interested in the practice of upcycling and working with denim as a starting point.

WHAT DAWN OFFERS

Fabric, expertise, marketing support, and an online opportunity to auction off the newly developed art-pieces respectfully but effectively, and 50% of the proceeds from the auction.

WHAT IS NEEDED FROM YOU

Interpret the material provided by DAWN in a way that aligns with your genuine process of creating art. The result should be a physical object that can be handed over to the highest bidder in the auction. Apart from that, you're free to work with the material in any way, shape, or form.
