WHAT DOES SUSTAINABLE FASHION MEAN TO CHRISTINA NOVAK HANSEN?
To me, sustainable fashion - and sustainable production and consumption in general - means producing and consuming items for human use with gratitude and respect for the people and nature involved during the lifecycle of the item. I appreciate the resources given from nature to produce my clothes. The people involved in the production process should be paid to live a dignified and prosperous life. I try to extend the lifetime of my possessions for as long as possible, and make sure to pass the items on or decompose them in a manner respectful to nature, if I no longer have use of them.
